WE’RE HERE TO HELP
A clearer road ahead.
Need a hand with ViaRise? Start with these quick checks. Your confirmed alarm and the latest route recommendation are separate — always review both before relying on a plan.
Setting a real alarm
Real system alarms require iOS 26 or later. Allow ViaRise to use alarms when prompted, then review and explicitly confirm your plan. Check the confirmed alarm time, not just the recommended time. Older supported iOS versions provide planning only.
For an important journey, verify your alarm and keep an independent backup alarm if needed. ViaRise’s estimates are not a guarantee that you will arrive on time.
School runs, events and trip plans
Choose your destination, occasion, arrival date and time, then review the journey plan. Saving a plan does not set an alarm. Explicitly confirm the journey alarm in ViaRise and check its confirmed time. Free supports any occasion for your active destination + Home; Plus is only needed to keep multiple destinations available together.
Widgets and Siri shortcuts
Add a ViaRise widget using your iPhone’s widget gallery. Use the quick actions to open the relevant app screen, or find ViaRise actions in Apple’s Shortcuts app to use with Siri. Widgets and shortcuts are included in Free, not reserved for Plus.
Opening a shortcut does not confirm a journey alarm or send a message. Review and confirm alarms in ViaRise; preview shared messages and choose recipients yourself. If a widget looks out of date, open the app and recheck the estimate. Widget refreshes are controlled by iOS, not a live traffic feed.
Traffic estimates and refreshes
Check your saved Home, active destination, arrival time and routine. Refresh while the app is open to request an updated Apple Maps estimate. If Maps cannot respond, check your internet connection and try again.
iOS decides when closed-app traffic checks and widget refreshes run. It may delay or skip them; do not rely on uninterrupted background checks or a fixed refresh interval.
Plus payment options won’t load
Check your connection, reopen Plus and choose Reload. If an error remains, note the non-sensitive support code shown on the screen. Development Test Store payments are simulated and do not charge real money. Live App Store checkout requires the store setup to be complete.
Free keeps all features, including journey plans, widgets and Siri shortcuts, for one active destination plus Home. Plus only adds multiple destinations and their assignments. If you have already purchased Plus, use Restore purchases with the Apple account used for the purchase. Manage subscriptions in Apple subscription settings.
Calendar plans and sharing
Calendar planning is optional and reads only calendars you select. An event does not automatically set your alarm — confirm the imported date override and its alarm. Manage permissions in iOS Settings.
Before sharing a journey estimate, preview the message and choose who to send it to. Messages are one-off estimates, not live tracking, and estimates expire after five minutes.
